Where Did Our Story Begin?

Our story started a long time ago, back in 1972. Back then, our store was called The Plywood Store of Burlington. We had a simple goal. We wanted to give our neighbors great materials, honest advice, and helpful service. Over the years, people asked us for more than just wood panels. They wanted all kinds of floors. So, we grew! We started selling many different types of flooring to help homeowners and businesses. Even though the things we sold changed, our promise to treat people right never changed. Today, our store is still owned and run by the very same local family who started it!

Why Did We Change Our Name?

In 2009, we decided to move our store across town to a brand-new showroom on South Church Street. We also changed our name to Burlington Carpet One Floor & Home. When we moved, we joined a big group called the Carpet One cooperative. It is the biggest flooring group in the whole world! By joining this group with over 1,000 other stores, we get to buy floors at much lower prices. Then, we pass those big savings right on to you. We are still a completely local, family-owned business, but now we have the power of a giant national company. You get the best of both worlds!
