Through hands-on experience, ongoing training, and a dedication to serving customers well, Destiny has built a solid foundation of product knowledge across a wide range. Her focus on understanding customer needs and guiding them through the selection process has already made her a valuable part of our sales team.

Destiny earned a Sales Certification in Customer Service Excellence along with a Home Design Certification, equipping her to assist customers with both practical flooring solutions and design-forward choices for their homes.

Donna Williamson

A former insurance saleswoman and garden center manager, Donna Williamson said she hasn’t regretted her decision to come work for a family-owned business.

Donna’s daily tasks include administrative assistance, scheduling installations, keeping the store maintained, and organizing. A nature lover, Donna enjoys time by the lake or by the ocean, as well as riding on the back of a motorcycle.

Meredith Day

Meredith Day began her career at Burlington Carpet One shortly after earning an Interior Design degree at Meredith College, and has enjoyed a career rife with changes as the years have passed.

Her love of helping clients bring their projects to reality, however, has remained constant.

When not at work, Meredith loves spending time with her family, crafting, and playing the piano.

Paul Tervelt

A former flight instructor, Paul Tervelt began his flooring career as a newlywed in 1999. Now the father of two boys, Paul said meeting industry professional Don Callahan inspired him to change his career path.

Today, Paul is essential to daily operations and does lots of behind-the-scenes projects for clients. An avid golfer, Paul also enjoys family time, cheering on the UNC Tarheels, and time with his dogs.

Shannon Byerly

Shannon Byerly works with us as a flooring specialist, serving homeowners, contractors, realtors, and businesses throughout Alamance County and the surrounding Triad area.

Shannon provides expert assistance with hardwood flooring, luxury vinyl plank (LVP), tile, carpet, laminate flooring, and area rugs, helping customers make confident, informed decisions.

As part of the Burlington Carpet One team, Shannon works closely with customers on flooring selection, estimating, scheduling, and installation coordination. Known for a consultative, no-pressure approach, Shannon is committed to delivering quality flooring solutions, reliable service, and an exceptional customer experience.
